Tony Leung Hung Wa contributes a new entry into the hopping vampire and sorcery genre that was at its peak in the mid-eighties. Southern Mao and Northern Ma are professional corpse escorts. They have been given the task of escorting a pair of lovers, Wong and Jenny, to their final resting place. Mao and Ma take on the job, accompanied by their apprentices, and begin their journey. But a dark wizard, Ha La Chak, is on their trail, searching for a secret letter possibly concealed within Wong's body.

In Pompeii and Circumstance, the gang's Italian vacation is interrupted by misdeeds in teh ancient city of Pompeii, leading to an ominous visit into the mouth of th no so dormant Vesuvius. And finally, the gang goes to Paris to see Daphne's cousin become a model, but only to discover she's been abducted by a giant gargoyle in Ready To Scare.

These portraits are interwoven with the story of Elpi, a Greek woman who is waiting for the long overdue visit of an old important friend. The outcome of this mixture is a film which captures the lives and perspectives of some of Wrangelkiez’s most commanding citizens, while at the same time evoking the loss that change and time passing means for places and for people.
