A male lion, right next to bars that are about 6 or 8 inches apart, keenly watches a uniformed zoo attendant toss small morsels of food into the cage. The lion alternates between finding the food on the cage floor and reaching through the bars to swipe at the man, who stays alarmingly close to the beast. In the background are the large rocks and brick wall at the back of the lion's habitat.

Four people plan to rob a bank on new year's eve, when no one will notice because of the celebrations.

On the way we prepare by taking to the track at Monza – the home of Italian Formula One. We try to get noticed on the road course in Monaco in a Bugatti, a Lamborghini and a Model T Ford. After cruising the canals in Venice we take to the tarmac and things look good - thanks to the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Mercedes SLS Black. Throw in a Pagani Huayra, Porsche Cayman S and a GT3 as well as the Aston Martin Vanquish centenary edition, Bentley V8 convertible, Rolls Royce Phantom coupe and the face-bending BAC Mono all seems pretty perfect to us.

Su questo reale dato di cronaca il regista Joe Berlinger, documentarista molto apprezzato, innesta la trama del nuovo film. Quattro escursionisti, Stephen, Tristen, Erica e Kim, guidati da Jeff, un giovane del luogo, decidono di passare la notte nel bosco per filmare fenomeni occulti. Dopo aver sistemato le telecamere e aver vegliato alcune ore, si addormentano. La mattina si accorgono che la loro attrezzatura è stata distrutta. Per capire cosa sia accaduto visionano i nastri registrati, ritrovati stranamente intatti. Scopriranno cose agghiaccianti e, in preda a visioni sinistre e allucinazioni, commetteranno azioni terribili.

Frank Martin, specialista in consegne rischiose, è chiamato ad una nuova, pericolosa missione: trasportare due grossi sacchi e una giovane ucraina, figlia di un ufficiale ucraino, da Marsiglia a Odessa. Nel tragitto verso la meta non mancano i criminali che vogliono mettere le mani sulla ragazza. Frank non sa che è vittima di una trappola.

Dopo gli eventi di Step up revolution Sean continua a cercare con la sua crew di sfondare nel mondo del ballo. Tra audizioni finite male, sconfitte ad opera di raccomandati e umiliazioni nei bar i Mobs decidono di lasciare Los Angeles per tornare a Miami. Sean invece vuole rimanere e contatta Muso per mettere in piedi una nuova crew così da partecipare a Vortex, una gara di ballo da strada che si tiene a Las Vegas. La scelta ovviamente ricadrà sui membri della crew storica, ognuno ormai dedito ad un altro lavoro ma pronto a mollare tutto per questa nuova avventura.
